Field Visit to Twitter on 19 Aug 16

ASIS International (Singapore Chapter) is organizing a field visit to Twitter office on 19 August 2016 (Friday).
Twitter is an online social network service that enable users to send and read short messages called ‘tweets’ and it was launched in 2006. The service has rapidly gained worldwide popularity and there are reportedly millions of active users per month. Twitter Inc is based in San Francisco and has more than 25 offices around the world.

There are only 25 slots for this field visit and the registration fees are as follows:

S$10 for ASIS International (Singapore Chapter) Paid-up MembersS$20 for ASIS International Members 

Terms and Conditions: 
1) This field visit is not open to anyone who are not ASIS International and Local Chapter members. 
2) The host reserves the right to prevent or restrict any members from attending the field visit subject to their internal screening process and company policy. The decision is final and no appeal will be allowed. 
3) The host and the organizer reserves the right to cancel or postpone the field visit due to unforeseen circumstances and participants will be informed as soon as possible.  
4) Invoice with instruction to pay online will be issued after the online registration. 
5) Please note that refunds will not be issued for cancellation or no-show. 
6) ASIS International and local members will need to make payment online by 15 August to confirm your attendance. If no payment is made by 15 August, your registration will be void and opportunity will be given to members who are on the waiting list. No appeal will be allowed. 
7) Reminder will be sent to the members to attend the field visit after payment has been made.  
8) For members who have registered for the field visit but are unable to attend, do inform the organizer one day before the event for logistical / refreshment planning at .

CPP Review Program & Advanced Security Management Course from 3 to 6 Oct 16

The next CPP® Review Program and Advanced Security Management Course is scheduled to run from 3 to 6 Oct 2016. All ASIS International and Singapore Chapter members are entitled to a discount off the registration fee. Please see the course brochure for full details.

Applying for the CPP® Certification Exam
The CPP® professional qualification is by computer-based examination. Applications to sit the examination, which costs USD300 for ASIS International members and USD450 for non-members, should be made direct to ASIS International via the ASIS website.

The CPP® examination is conducted by ASIS International and is computer-based at a number of Prometric Test Centre in Singapore and globally. Prospective candidates can check their eligibility to sit the examination and register online directly with ASIS International. Further details of the CPP reference materials, examination entry criteria and application form, and Prometric Test Centres can be found on the ASIS website.

The examination fee is not included in the CPP® Review Course package fee, nor are the CPP reference materials – details of which can be found on the ASIS website.

Webinar -  Israeli Security Best Practices

ASIS International (Singapore Chapter) will be screening a pre-recorded ASIS webinar on Israeli Security Best Practices on 21July (Thurs).

Israeli security infrastructure and best practices are known throughout the world as some of the most comprehensive and effective. Representatives from the Israeli military, technology, government, and private sectors offer exportable knowledge on the development of critical infrastructure, the growing investments in "smart" cities, emergency management and preparedness, and collaborative opportunities.

The Speaker from this pre-recorded webinar is Garett Macrine, CPP and the webinar will last about 90 minutes. Participants will earn 2 CPEs by attending this 90-minute webinar. There will also be a facilitated discussion hosted by ASIS International (Singapore Chapter) Security Practitioners after the webinar and provides a good opportunity to learn from one another!
