Dear Members,

In the month of July, the Management Committee has organized a number events and initiatives as follows:

1) Q3 Evening Seminar and Networking Dinner
The new format of the networking event continues with presentations on Social media & Personal data protection act and Effective response throughout the video lifecycle.  The event received overwhelming responses with over 90 attendees have registered.  I look forward to meet  members who have registered for the event tomorrow evening.  I would like to acknowledge EMC as our sponsor for the event.

2) PSP Review Course
PSP review course is ongoing with 7 participants from Singapore and Indonesia.  The course has been expanded from 2 to 3 days to cover new areas such as CPTED.

3) Newsletter
I invite you to read our newsletter published earlier today.  It has a new look, more articles and other ASIS International news.  The Chapter participated in ‘Newsletter of the Year’ contest last year. Although we did not win the award, we received valuable feedback on how we can improve.  This edition of newsletter incorporates some of the improvement suggested.  Please do let us know your thoughts.

4) Chapter Standard Operating Procedure
Governance and Standard sub-committee has produced initial draft of Chapter SOP.  The document is written to document Chapter’s operation that will serve as a guidance to Management Committee in the future.  Job description of each volunteer leader roles, skillset and tools required have been documented.  The SOP will be further developed and be ready prior Annual General Meeting.

There are more events in the pipeline such as CPP certification review course in August and a site visit in September.  More details will be shared accordingly.

Regards,
Leonard Ong, CPP
