ASIS International (Singapore Chapter) will be hosting its third quarter’s field visit.

Participants will qualify for 2 CPE hours towards CPP, PSP and PCI recertification.

Since the beginning of time, people have travelled for commerce, religion, family, health, immigration, education, and recreation. Evidence of hotels and the hospitality industry have been recorded as far back as biblical times when Mary and Joseph arrived in Bethlehem during the census. As the Bible depicts, Mary and Joseph were refused accommodations because there “was no room at the inn.” The word hotel is derived from the French word hôtel, meaning host.

Post September 11, 2011, the aggregate attacks on hotels have increased four-folds. Straddling between security and hospitality is a tight rope that has to be walked everyday. The Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore (RCMS) isn’t just another 5 star hotel under the Marriott stable. It is also where heads of states like US President Obama stays when he travels to Singapore. Find out from behind the scenes how RCMS is also instrumental to the National Day Parade and F1 race.
